Predictions for D&B in 2012:
Lush is in the house.
A year before Hitler decided he’d like to own a Poland, Hammond built the worlds first polyphonic synth, the Novachord. Production began in 1938, and just over a thousand units were built up until 1942. The actual synth part of the Novachord ran entirely on tubes and caps and had a pretty amazing sound.
Seriously. How does this stuff get published? Who finds this funny?
REALLY?
It blows my mind that something as painfully unfunny as this gets syndicated in the newspapers here. I mean, sure, in Adelaide it’s published in that backward, jurrasic shitstain of a rag called the Advertiser, but still.
WHAT THE FUCK BLACK STUMP? This isn’t even a joke! What are you, five? No, fuck that, even a five year old would rage at the thundering avalanche of unfunny in that strip.
I hate you Beyond The Black Stump.
Also, this.

So for those that don’t know, I started out making tunes in the demoscene way back in the early 90s using tracker software. Although I basically rock Cubase these days, I still enjoy tracking and every now and then I’ll roll out some old school flavour. Here’s a bunch I’ve made =)
Cyantific, The Upbeats, Sigma, Marky and Stamina MC all popping up over the next few weeks!
Also, myself and Gumshoe have started rocking Thursday nights over at Supermild now, so you can come in and brockout to all sorts of weight (Hip Hop, Dubstep, Grime, Drum & Bass, anything that rolls) along side our regular Friday Boogie/Soul/Funk steelo there too!
Brilliant!
Say what you will about Break, but in my eyes he’s the new Dillinja. And I’m talking either Lionheart/Angels Fell era Dillinja or Tudor Rose/Nasty Ways era Dillinja. Dude has a sound of his own that he totally has on lock, and while there’s a few tunes that are a bit hit and miss, when he gets it right it’s absolutely devastating.
His second album “Resistance” drops on the 29th of November on his own Symmetry label, be sure to cop it for some deep, nasty weight.
